A search for a Colorado man who police said fled earlier Saturday morning has been concluded, according to the La Salle Police Department.

Streator residents are being asked by La Salle County Sheriff’s Office to keep a look out for a black man with long hair wearing a red shirt that fled on foot in the area of Sylvan Lane.

DuPont Road in Seneca was closed Wednesday afternoon because of flooding, according to the La Salle County Emergency Management Agency.

The Bloomington Police Department still is seeking information into the disappearance of Jelani “JJ” Day, whose vehicle was found Aug. 26 concealed in a wooded area near the Illinois Valley YMCA in Peru.

Peru Elementary’s new bus company will be short drivers Monday, Aug. 23, and cannot cover all of its morning routes, said Superintendent Jamie Craven in a letter to parents. The superintendent is asking parents to arrange transportation for their child, if possible.
