2022 Election Primary: La Salle County Board

Four primary contests on Tuesday’s ballot will help shape the La Salle County Board.

Asked about taxes, La Salle County Board candidate Martin Rue Jr. wrote, "I have accepted the Taxpayer Pledge. It is a promise to oppose all new taxes and vote against them." Read his full election questionnaire here.

LaSalle County Board, District 21 candidate Brian Dose was asked about capital projects the county should focus on. He wrote, "The pandemic has shown us that we need to do a better job with ventilation systems for our employees." Read the full questionnaire here.

Asked about renewable energy expansion, La Salle County Board candidate Beth Findley Smith wrote, "If the renewable energy companies are not subsidized by tax dollars, I am open to private industry expanding this energy source." Read the full questionnaire here.

Asked how the county can best take advantage of tourism, La Salle County Board candidate Rick O’Sadnick wrote that "It’s time to explore a fee-based entrance and use requirement at both the state and county level to aid in the funding for increased security" and maintenance.
