Vaccine update: Sauk Valley administers 245 doses Wednesday

The Sauk Valley administered an additional 245 coronavirus vaccine doses Wednesday, and 137 more people became fully vaccinated.

Whiteside County has administered 44,223 total doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, with 22,269 people (40.03%) fully vaccinated. Lee County has had 29,846 doses, with 15,110 people (44.15%) fully vaccinated. Carroll County has administered 9,563 vaccine doses, with 5,024 people (35.1%) fully vaccinated. Ogle County has had 41,368 doses, with 20,516 people (40.29%) fully vaccinated.

There have been 125,000 doses administered and 62,919 people fully vaccinated across Whiteside, Lee, Carroll and Ogle counties.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported a total of 12,288,242 COVID-19 vaccines administered.

The state has administered 27,737 shots, and 5,980,289 people in Illinois have been fully vaccinated, or 46.94% of the population.
