STERLING — Newman Central Catholic High School is having a single fundraising event — its Day of Giving — on Thursday. This is the first time school fundraising will be devoted to a single day.
All money raised goes toward the Newman Fund, the operating budget of the school, including student programs, trips. Retreats, supplies, recruitment and retention of teachers, updated technology and campus buildings and grounds. The goal is $100,000.
As a Catholic school, it budgets tuition at less than actual cost, relying on gifts from partners to make up the difference.
