Abstract Art latest exhibit at The Next Picture Show in Dixon

DIXON — “Absolutely Abstract,” an exhibit of 66 works in a variety of mediums, opened for viewing Saturday, July 24. at The Next Picture Show, 113 W. First St.

The exhibit, open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, runs until Aug. 28

The pieces of acrylic, alcohol ink, cold wax, cotton, digital photography, egg shells, felt, glass, hot glue, metal, mica powders, oil, silk, watercolor, and wood will be judged by local artist Heather Stone. Awards will be presented during a reception at 6 p.m. Friday, July 30. The jazz duo of Jim Kanas and Doug Lofstrom will perform at the reception.
