Marian Central 13, Richmond-Burton 0 (5 inn.): At Woodstock, the Hurricanes (2-0) defeated the Rockets (0-2) in a nonconference game, with Clare Schneck hitting a triple, stealing two bases and driving in three runs. Christine Chmiel (2 for 2) and Natalie Simon (3 for 3) both drove two runs. Bailey Keller, Simon and Vivianna Lara stole two bases apiece for Marian.

Chmiel scattered three hits in five innings with 13 strikeouts and no walks.
