Spring 2021 NewsTribune Volleyball All-Area

Katie Bates, Princeton, junior, setter: Bates ranked second in the area in assists at 8.7 per set. She also averaged 3 digs, 2.7 points and 0.4 aces per game. Bates was a unanimous All-Three Rivers Conference East Division selection.

Kenzie DeFosse, La Salle-Peru, senior, outside hitter: DeFosse was a solid all-around player for the Cavaliers, finishing top 10 in the area in digs (3.6 per set) and kills (2.3 per set). She was a unanimous All-Interstate 8 Conference pick.

Reese Ludford, St. Bede, senior, outside hitter: Whenever the Bruins needed a kill, they went to Ludford, as she led the area in kills at 5.3 per set. She also finished top 10 in the area in digs (3.5 per set) and aces (0.8 per set). She was a second-team All-Three Rivers Conference East Division pick.

Ella Massey, Mendota, senior, setter: The second-team All-Big Northern Conference pick capped her career with another solid season. She ranked third in the area in assists (7.7 per set) and also contributed 0.4 aces, 2.9 digs and 0.9 kills per set.

Jenna O’Donnell, Mendota, senior, libero: O’Donnell was a dig machine for the Spikers as she recorded 6 digs per set, which led the area. She earned honorable mention All-Big Northern Conference accolades.

Gracie Schultz, Fieldcrest, senior, middle hitter: Schultz was a force at the net for the Knights as she finished second in the area in kills (3.6 per set) and blocks (0.8 per set). She also was strong at the service line, leading the area at 0.9 aces per set.

Elaina Wamhoff, St. Bede, senior, setter: The Spring 2021 NewsTribune Volleyball Player of the Year led the area in assists (9.6 per set) and was top 10 in aces (0.8 per set) and digs (3.5 per set). She was a unanimous All-Three Rivers Conference East Division selection.
