Victim of Oak Brook crash ID’d as Woodridge teen

The DuPage County coroner’s office on Thursday identified the victim of Tuesday’s Oak Brook crash as Mason Walters of Woodridge.

Walters, 17, died after veering off southbound Route 83 and crashing into the 31st Street overpass.

When the police arrived about 12:50 a.m. Tuesday, they found a black or gray Honda Accord in flames with severe front-end damage.

The crash remains under investigation.
