Softball: York’s Lauren Derkowski, Wheaton North’s Ellie Hubbard, Lemont’s Sage Mardjetko lead area All-State picks

York senior pitcher Lauren Derkowski and Wheaton North senior shortstop Ellie Hubbard led area selections to the Illinois Coaches Association All-State teams announced Monday.

Derkowski and Hubbard were two of 18 players named to the Class 4A First Team All-State team. York junior second baseman Emily Fujiwara and Glenbard West senior pitcher Kiley Koziol were named to the Class 4A All-State Second Team. York junior Lindsey Bingham and Wheaton North junior third baseman Lauren Vaughn were named to the Class 4A Third Team.

Lemont sophomore pitcher Sage Mardjetko was named to the Class 3A First Team, as was Annika Norman of St. Francis. Lemont sophomore catcher Frankie Rita was named Class 3A Second Team, as was Montini’s Kora Navarro and Brooke Kuczynski. Hinsdale South’s Nicole Berger was named to the Class 3A Third Team, as was Lemont’s Maddy Wallace and Emma Kucharski and Montini’s Kristina Singleton and Amanda Wozniak, Nazareth’s Allison Mangan and Riverside-Brookfield’s Hannah Organ and Bella Garcia.

IC Catholic Prep’s Analisa Raffaelli and Anna Maciejewski were named Class 2A Third Team All-State.
