20 retailers craft special offers

LA GRANGE – The Spring Shopping Stroll in La Grange features more than 20 stores and restaurants providing free gifts, discounts and one-day-only offers from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 9.

Starting at 10 a.m., colorful free tote bags will be distributed to the first 200 shoppers who begin their stroll at Linnea Jewelers, 23 S. Ashland Ave., the event’s presenting sponsor. Shoppers can visit participating merchants with their totes to receive free gifts or special offers, while supplies last.

Among the participating businesses are Little Charm, Vintage Charm, Horton’s Home Lighting, The Hope Chest, Veni Vidi Val, Express Med Spa, Boyce Chiropractic, 1416, Yuva Beauty, Primal Oceans Salt Cave, Olivaceto, Bloom3, Jackson Square Mall and JAYNE.

A map to the locations will be available on the free La Grange mobile app, which is available for download in the Apple App Store or Google Play or can be picked up at local businesses. Shoppers can have their maps stamped at participating businesses to be entered in a random drawing for one of several $50 gift cards to local restaurants. Winners will be selected at random and notified by email April 12. No purchase is necessary. To learn more, visit lagrangeevents.com.

The promotion is part of a series organized by the La Grange Business Association and is taking place with the support of the village of La Grange.

“Spending at a small business is really the feel-good story,” Nancy Cummings, executive director of the La Grange Business Association, said in the release. “Invest in the community by supporting the local entrepreneurs who are your neighbors and friends. Together, they provide us all with more choices, more diversity, and they are what make La Grange different from any other village in the world.”
