Led by TJ Quinn’s 69, Minooka golfers capture first regional title since 2002

Minooka senior TJ Quinn shot a 2-under par 69 to edge out Joliet Township senior Mitchell Fulayter by a stroke at the Class 3A Lockport Regional, leading Minooka to its first regional title since 2002. Lincoln-Way East and Lincoln-Way West also advanced teams to sectionals.

Boys golf: Joey Sluzas wins regional again, leads Lockport to team championship

Senior Joey Sluzas shot a 3-under-par 69 to win the Class 3A Lincoln-Way Central Regional by four strokes at Balmoral Woods in Crete. It was his second straight regional crown, as he led Lockport to the team title. Lincoln-Way Central and Minooka also advanced.
