Oswego freshman Savannah Millard, who was second at conference and sectionals and became the program's first state qualifier since 2009, is the Record Newspapers girls tennis Player of the Year.

Savannah Millard persevered through a grueling day at last Friday's sectional meet to take second place, and in doing so the Oswego freshman became the school's first state tennis qualifier since 2009.

Oswego took second place and Oswego East was fourth at the Southwest Prairie Conference tennis meet which concluded this past Friday in Plainfield.
