HENNEPIN — A Henry man involved in an alleged non-custodial child abduction has been hit with new charges.
Kevin A. DelHotal, 32, last week was accused of taking his 2-month-old son from the baby’s mother’s home. After a a multi-agency search, the baby was safely located.
DelHotal initially was charged with domestic battery. On Thursday his charges were upgraded to criminal sexual assault, a Class 1 felony, punishable by up to 4-15 years in prison.
DelHotal is being held in custody on $100,000 bond, 10% of which must be posted for his release. Additionally, Putnam County State’s Attorney put a condition of bail that DelHotal must be fitted with an electronic monitoring device should he post bond.
He will appear in court Dec. 17.
