PEORIA — The Northwoods Community Church’s annual Christmas production will showcase hundreds of musicians, dancers and singers in a Broadway-style musical show that has become a favorite for thousands of central Illinois families. The 2018 production is titled “This Moment In Time” and will be held in Northwoods’ 3,000-seat Peoria Campus Auditorium.
The production is presented as a free gift to the community with the desire to inspire and encourage people, especially during these times of discontent and division in our society. In fact, it is a timeless message of hope that is at the very center of the Christmas show and which underscores its purpose. For all who attend, the goal is that they leave with a little more joy, some measure more of light at this moment in time. Hundreds of cast and crew have been preparing for months, and a team of nearly 1,000 volunteers will serve to welcome guests and provide an outstanding experience.
The church will host nine performances: 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18; 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19; 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20; 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21; 3 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22; and 11 a.m. and 3 and 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23.
