Alfred Piccinelli

STANDARD — Alfred Piccinelli, 76, of Standard passed away Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley.

He was born June 22, 1941, in Spring Valley to Frank and Ann (Marchiando) Piccinelli. He married Jenece Mauer on Aug. 11, 1962.

He was a steel worker for American Nicholoid in Peru.

Survivors include one son, Tony (Johnelle) Piccinelli of LaSalle; one brother, Jody (Pat) Piccinelli of Standard; and one sister, Marguerite Sons of Standard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one son, Harold Piccinelli.

Prayers will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at the Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel in Granville followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Granville with Father Patrick DeMeulemeester officiating. Cremation rites will follow the service.

Visitation was held Sunday, Aug. 6, at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to St. Jude, the Standard Fire Department or Putnam County Ambulance.

Pallbearers will be Peter Piccinelli, David Piccinelli, Jody Piccinelli, Scott Sons, Paul Marenda and Ron Frederick.
