LAKEMOOR – Michael and Judy Torphy of Lakemoor will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 28 with their family.

Judy Lamm and Michael Torphy were married Aug. 28, 1962, at St. Irenaeus Church in Park Forest. They first lived in Park Forest after their marriage.

He was a grounds foreman for Cedar Park Cemetery and Funeral Home. He retired Dec. 31, 2007.

She was a customer service manager at TransCore in Lisle until her retirement Dec. 31, 2011.

They have three sons, John (Elizabeth) Torphy of Ladara Ranch, Calif., Scott (Christine) Torphy of Naperville and Matt Torphy of Highland, Ind.

They have two daughters, Jennifer (Ronald) Geary of Lakemoor and Samantha (Trevor) Salato of Round Lake.

They also have eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
