Crystal Lake Central's Eric Klutke put the finishing touches on a stellar four-year varsity career, leading the Tigers to their second-best finish in school history. Central finished fifth at state, won a sectional title and repeated as Fox Valley Conference champions. For the second year in a row, Klutke was selected the Northwest Herald Boys Golfer of the Year.

Winner Crystal Lake Central finished its round early in the day and got to watch as Ottawa (314) and Boylan Catholic (319) also finished up their state-qualifying days. Kaneland and Marmion each finished in fourth, two strokes back of earning a trip as a team to state, with Burlington Central in sixth three back of the final qualifying spot.
