Klos and Holifield

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Announcement has been made of the engagement of Katherine Anne Klos and Robert Atwood Holifield, both of Washington, D.C.

She is the daughter of John and Mary Klos of Woodstock. He is the son of Cynthia Holifield of Blytheville, Ark., and the late Cecil Holifield.

The bride-to-be is a 1998 graduate of Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock, a 2002 graduate of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., with a Bachelor of Science in anthropology and a 2006 graduate of the University of Alabama-Birmingham Medical School. She will complete her medical residency in June from George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She will begin her work as a urologist with Kaiser Permanente in September.

Her fiancé is a 1996 graduate of Blytheville High School in Blytheville, Ark., and a 2000 graduate of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. He attended University of Arkansas Law School in Little Rock. He is employed at Alston and Bird LLP in Washington, D.C. He is completing his master’s degree in business administration at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

Their wedding will be Aug. 25.
