Scherkenbach and Behrens

CRYSTAL LAKE – Announcement has been made of the engagement of Callie Scherkenbach and Randy Behrens, both of Crystal Lake.

She is the daughter of Kurt and Audrey Scherkenbach of Crystal Lake. He is the son of Jim and Cindy Behrens of Crystal Lake.

The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Prairie Ridge High School and a 2009 graduate of Harper College with an associate degree in applied science and certification in medical assisting. She is a certified medical assistant and receptionist at Caring Family Doctors office in Crystal Lake.

Her fiancé is a 2000 graduate of Crystal Lake Central High School and a 2005 graduate of Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in parks and recreation. He is a correctional officer at McHenry County Sheriff’s Department in Woodstock.

They plan to marry May 19.
