Six local teams earned a spot in the Class 3A Competitive Dance finals.
Lockport, Plainfield North, Plainfield South, Lincoln-Way East, Minooka and Lincoln-Way Central will participate in the event which begins Friday at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington for the semifinal round.
Lockport will compete at 4:33 p.m. Friday, while Plainfield North will participate at 4:57 p.m. Plainfield South will compete at 5:21 p.m., Lincoln-Way East will hit the floor at 5:45 p.m. and Minooka will enter the fray at 6:43 p.m. Lincoln-Way Central wraps up the local contingent with a 6:55 p.m. start time.
Qualifying teams will compete again in Saturday’s final if they reach the qualifying standard set Friday.
Minooka

Minooka was the big winner at the Fieldcrest Sectional, taking the title with a score of 89.4.

Plainfield South

Plainfield South qualified for the state finals with a fourth place finish at the Fieldcrest Sectional.
The Cougars posted a score of 85.73 to advance.
Team members are Olivia Kresno, Samantha Tobias, Alyssa Carino, Eleanor Zagotta, Leah Geib-Ingram, Courtney Boyer, Victoria Camarda, Skye Farias, and Isis Mejia.

Lincoln-Way Central

Lincoln-Way Central qualified for the state finals with a fifth place finish at the Fieldcrest Sectional.
The Knights posted a score of 85.48 to advance.
