Charitable Organization Serving First Responders in Sauk Valley launches Wills for Warriors Program

ROCK FALLS, IL – Boots on the Ground of Whiteside County offers programs to support first responders and to facilitate first responders’ professional development and connection with the community

Boots on the Ground, in collaboration the attorneys of Pignatelli & Associates, PC, as well as other attorneys throughout the Sauk Valley area, are proud offer all area first responders and medical professionals assisting in the direct response to COVID-19 the opportunity to benefit from pro bono estate planning services provided by the Boots on the Ground Wills for Warriors initiative. Attorneys will prepare wills and powers of attorney for property and healthcare with a rapid turn-around time for first responders. “Our team of experienced trial lawyers are excited to help the community and proud to partner with Mike Lewis and his charitable organization to launch Wills for Warriors in Whiteside and express our continued thanks and appreciation for first responders for their service and sacrifice,” said managing partner Louis Pignatelli. “We hope to expand the program with any interested attorneys throughout the Sauk Valley to meet the current and future needs of those who keep us healthy and safe throughout our communities,” said partner Beth Adams.

Any attorneys interested in assisting in the provision of these services are encouraged to join in us in service to those who keep our community healthy and safe. Experienced estate planning attorneys are needed to review completed estate plans and walk clients through the execution of the documents. Attorneys without estate planning experience are needed to perform client intake, draft wills and powers of attorney using document automation software, and act as witnesses during the execution of the documents. Please reach out to mlewis@botgwc.org or contact@nilawyers.com to volunteer to help our community.

First responders interested in no-cost estate planning services may register online, where a contact form is available at the address www.pignatellilaw.com/wills-for-warriors/ A follow-up engagement and consultation may then occur by telephone or video conferencing. Execution may take place remotely or, at the preference of the parties involved, by appointment at a responsible social distance to respect the health and safety of all involved.
