Yard waste pick ups for Sterling begin April 4

STERLING – Beginning April 4, curbside yard waste collection will begin for the 2022 calendar year. Yard waste will be collected weekly on customers’ regularly scheduled garbage collection day.

Yard waste should be placed at regular garbage collection point prior to 6 a.m. Yard waste should be placed in 30-gallon Kraft paper bags, 30-gallon garbage cans marked with an “X” or Toter-brand containers marked with an “X”.

Yard waste such as branches and brush should be cut into 4-foot lengths and tied together with twine or string into bundles weighing no more then 50 pounds. Yard waste collection information is available in pamphlet form from the Code Enforcement Department.
