Second-half goal lifts De La Salle past Prairie Ridge

Neither fierce defender Seth Matson nor any other Prairie Ridge soccer player could will their team to victory Friday. De La Salle scored midway through the second half, and that’s all the Meteors needed to pull out a 1-0 win in a Class 2A state semifinal in Hoffman Estates.
