Ottawa’s wait is over: Golf team wins school’s first state title

Ottawa High School’s wait for sporting glory is over, as the boys golf team won the Class 2A final for the school's first state title. Burlington Central was third, while Marmion's Regan Konen won a three-man playoff to repeat as Class 2A individual champion.

Chandler Creedon leads Ottawa golfers to 6th straight regional title

The Ottawa boys golf team — led by individual champion Chandler Creedon — won its sixth straight regional title at Wednesday's Class 2A La Salle-Peru Regional at Senica's Oak Ridge Golf Club. Burlington Central and Mendota also advanced to next week's Kaneland Sectional.

Landen Plym leads Hall golfers to first regional title in 17 years

Landen Plym shot a 73 to earn medalist honors, leading Hall to a 14-stroke victory at the Class 1A St. Bede Regional and the Red Devils' first regional title in 17 years.
