Westmont’s Kyla Babb doubles the fun at IHSA state meet, gets top 3 in both Class 1A distance events
Westmont junior Kyla Babb pulled off an impressive distance double on Saturday at the state track and field meet, taking second in the Class 1A 3,200 meters and third in the 1,600. Downers Grove North, Downers Grove South and Wheaton North were among other schools with medals.

Wheaton North senior Emme Smith took top honors in the pole vault while teammate Sophia Dalrymple, a sophomore, claimed the title in the long jump at Thursday's Class 3A Rolling Meadows Girls Track and Field Sectional.
Teams from Aurora Christian, Beecher, Dwight, Earlville, Hinckley-Big Rock, Kankakee-McNamara, Lisle, Momence, Newark, Marquette, Seneca, Indian Creek, Somonauk, Westmont, Wilmington and Yorkville all competed during the Class 1A Sectional track meet on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Seneca High School.
