GENEVA – The return of the annual Swedish Days festival is almost here, and the Geneva Chamber of Commerce released the full schedule of activities on Tuesday.
The schedule is now available at genevachamber.com. Choose Swedish Days under Chamber Highlights to view the fun. Swedish Days is June 24-27.
Events include sidewalk sales from many of Geneva’s specialty shops, including Moonlight Madness when they’re open late for shoppers.
The Swedish Days Car Show is on South Third Street on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m., while Concerts on the Lawn are scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday on the north courthouse lawn. Swedish games, dancers and more will provide plenty of entertainment on Saturday and Sunday on the south side of the lawn.
The Kane County Cougars stadium will host Dala-Palooza on Saturday, which will feature ARRA and Trippin’ Billies along with Lisa Thomen, as well as Elise Flagg Dance Studio.
The Craft Beer Tent will be on James Street for all four days this year, and will feature Penrose Brewing, Stockholm’s, Art History Brewing and The Beer Cellar. Select evenings will also have entertainment.
June 25 is “Kids’ Day,” with activities from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Geneva Public Library, and will also have more exciting booths, games and more.
Geneva Commons will have a Swedish Days Family Fest on Saturday, which will have a full day of free fun, including a car show presented by The Greater Illinois Region Classic Car Club of America, food trucks, dog adoption event, School of Rock performance, author readings and more. Events will take place by the covered pergola and throughout the Commons.
