GENEVA – Aldermen approved a workman’s compensation claim of $35,080 on Jan. 18 for a police officer injured in the line of duty.
The officer, Thomas Krueger, was injured in 2018, city spokesman Kevin Stahr stated in an email.
Krueger still works for the city as a police officer, according to Stahr’s email.
Krueger was sworn in as a police officer at the June 27, 2015 Committee of the Whole meeting, records show.
Krueger did not respond to a voice mail message seeking comment.
