St. Charles Police make two DUI arrests during traffic enforcement campaign

The St. Charles Police Department conducted additional traffic enforcement Dec. 18-Jan. 4, reminding motorists to buckle up and not drive impaired, day or night, as part of the nationwide Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement effort.

The St. Charles Police Department arrested two motorists for driving under the influence of alcohol and issued 10 speeding tickets as part of a traffic enforcement campaign conducted over the weekend preceding Labor Day and on Labor Day itself.

St. Charles Police conducted additional traffic enforcement as part the nationwide Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement effort. The St. Charles Police joined other state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois with their effort.

Police also arrested one driver for reckless driving and one for driving without a valid license, issued three tickets for distracted driving and issued a ticket for another offense.

The Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over mobilization was made possible with federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
