Thirty Marmion Academy seniors named Illinois State Scholars

Thirty seniors from Marmion Academy were named Illinois State Scholars.

Thirty Marmion Academy seniors have been named Illinois State Scholars by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.

According to a news release, the 30 seniors represent 24% of the Class of 2022.

The scholars are: Niraj Abraham, Lucas Blair, Jacob Bottarini, Jorge Campos, Daniel Chung, John Conover, Evan Dant, Andrew Deering, Ryan Grychowski, Andrew Hill, Anthony Hohol, Charles Konen, Anthony Kuceba, Luke Kuhn, Bryce Langkan, Peter Leurck, Teague Merrill, Ian Ortega, Blake Powers, Heath Powers, John Reavley, John Schokora, Matthew Sindac, Nathaniel Sowers, Ryan Sperlakis, Jackson Steele, Brian Stratton, Tyler Suess, Leo Verdecchia, and Jackson Wittenberg.

Rankings are based on a combination of ACT and/or SAT test score results and class rank in the top 10 percent of their graduating class at the end of the junior year of high school - unless the students achieved a score at or above the 95th percentile for Illinois students on one of the standardized tests, the release stated.
