Nazareth, which won just three matches a year ago, continued its turnaround season Thursday. The Roadrunners rallied from a set down to beat Geneva in a 23-25, 25-21, 25-22 thriller to win the Class 3A Timothy Christian Sectional title.

Burlington Central, seeking its first sectional title since since 2008, fell to St. Viator 25-10, 25-20 on Thursday night in the Class 3A IC Catholic Sectional championship. Senior captain Haidyn Schatz paced the Rockets with eight kills.

Wisconsin commit Lynney Tarnow is one of seven girls back from last year's Benet state runner-up who showed their experience Tuesday, shaking off an early challenge from St. Francis in both sets for a 25-15, 25-12 win in the Class 4A Glenbard West Sectional semifinal.
