Girls Basketball: Kane County Chronicle All-Area Team

Here is the 2021 Kane County Chronicle All-Area team, led by Burlington Central senior Elana Wells.

Cassidy Arni, Geneva, sophomore, forward: Arni averaged 13.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals a game. Arni was an all-conference selection.

Brooke Carlson, Batavia, freshman, guard: One of the best players in the area, Carlson averaged 14 points, 3.9 assists and 2.4 steals a game.

Taylor Charles, Burlington Central, junior, forward: Charles was a defensive stalwart for the Rockets. Charles averaged 10.7 points, 1.2 steals, 3.3 blocks and 10.5 rebounds a game.

Alyssa Hughes, St. Charles North, sophomore, guard: Hughes averaged 11 points, 2.1 assists, 1.6 steals and shot 37% from 3-point range. Hughes was an all-conference selection.

Torrie Kortan, St. Charles East, junior, guard: Kortan averaged 12 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals a game and shot 34% from 3-point range. Kortan was an all-conference selection.

Kate Palmer, Geneva, senior, guard: Palmer averaged 11.8 points, 3.2 assists, 1.8 steals and 3.4 rebounds per game. Palmer was an all-conference selection.

Erin Stack, St. Charles North, junior, forward: Stack averaged 11 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.3 assists per game. Stack was an all-conference selection.

Tessa Towers, Batavia, junior, forward: Towers was one of the most dominant forwards, averaging 17.9 points, 13.3 rebounds and almost 2 blocks a game.

Elana Wells, Burlington Central, senior, guard: Wells averaged 17.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 3 steals a game. She moved up to third all-time in program history in scoring with 1,629 points.
