Civil War memorabilia and collector arms show planned at DuPage fairgrounds

Zurko Promotions and the DuPage County Fairgrounds will host the nationally acclaimed Chicagoland Civil War, Collector Arms and Military Show and Sale on Sept. 25.

Civil War item dealers from throughout the U.S. will offer thousands of treasures and memorabilia for sale, a news release stated.

Museum-quality Civil War artifacts, collector arms, cavalry swords, historical autographs, pictures, coins, currency and other items will be on display and for sale.

“You may purchase a real treasure of American history for yourself or a loved one to be passed down as a great family heirloom,” Bob Zurko of Zurko’s Midwest Promotions said in the release.

In addition to Civil War items for sale, there will be memorabilia from the Revolutionary War and the Spanish-American War. The show will be vetted for quality and authenticity, the release stated.

Also among the heirlooms and mementos for sale will be items such as Civil War and period jewelry, pictures, letters, documents, swords, badges and books.

“Come join us to experience a living history lesson for young and old, and have an opportunity to purchase a family keepsake,” organizers said.

Admission costs $9 for entry between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Admission is free for children ages 16 and younger; this includes admission to the Collector Arms Dealers Association Show. Admission at 8 a.m. for early buyers costs $25.

Parking is free.
