Ottawa graduate, two-time Times Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year, and three-time state medalist Weston Averkamp has committed to continue his education at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston and his track career at the NCAA Division I level with the Panthers.

Princeton junior Casey Etheridge helped the football team reach the quarterfinals, placed fourth in Class 1A at 165 pounds in wrestling and qualified for state in the 300-meter hurdles in track and field.
