Hunter Alexander and Xavier Gagnepain each scored 16 points, and Sycamore’s boys basketball team defeated visiting Plano, 59-47, in Interstate 8 Conference action Monday night.
Bailey Wiegmann added 12 points for the Spartans. (4-4, 3-3 I-8).
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Kaneland 51, Ottawa 45: At Kaneland, Kelsey Modaff had 15 points and four steals, Kylie Holubecki added 14 points and eight rebounds, and the Knights won in I-8 play.
Chloe Conley had 10 points for Kaneland (4-2, 4-2), which led, 29-16, at halftime before seeing Ottawa pull within 35-31 entering the fourth. Katharine Marshall grabbed nine rebounds and scored six points for the Knights.
