Brian Hack, 43, of 637 Chartres St. Apt. 2, La Salle was charged with domestic battery at 8:32 p.m. Tuesday at 637 Chartres St., Apt 1, La Salle, according to La Salle police.
Kyle Quintana, 18, of 1929 10th St., Peru was charged with burglary (two counts) and theft under $500, Peru police said. After an investigation, Quintana was charged for a theft of two bikes from a yard at 2926 Seventh St. that was reported on June 20. Quintana is also alleged to have entered a garage at 2003 10th St. when three bikes were taken (police say he entered the garage on two separate nights, Sunday and Monday). All bicycles were located and returned to the owners. A 14-year-old North Utica male was referred to juvenile probation for one count of burglary and one county of theft, police said.
Kevin J. Plomann, 39, of 1910 Seventh St., Peru was charged with obstructing a peace officer and resisting a peace officer at 8:04 p.m. Monday at his residence following an incident there, Peru police said.
Diane M. Haddar, 47, of 53640 Pintail Drive, Granger, Ind., turned herself in at 4:12 p.m. Monday at the Peru police department on a Lee County failure-to-appear warrant for retail theft, Peru police said.
Jamal Roach, 32, of 7442 S. Wentworth, Chicago was picked up at 11:24 p.m. Monday at Grant Street and St. Vincent Avenue, La Salle on an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant, La Salle police said.
Becky J. Popurella, 45, of 529 Swift Ave., Oglesby was charged with failure to yield following a two-vehicle crash at 6:39 a.m. Tuesday at Route 89 and Peru-Princeton Road, according to Spring Valley police. Popurella was westbound on Peru-Princeton Road and proceeded to turn left onto Route 89 when she was struck by a northbound SUV driven by Joshua J. Hungerford of 2 Ponsetti Drive, Apt. H, Spring Valley, according to Spring Valley police. Both drivers refused treatment at the scene, police said.
TROY GROVE — La Salle County deputies and Mendota-Troy Grove fire and ambulance were called around 1 a.m. today (Wednesday) after a vehicle striking a tree near Troy Grove and the driver leaving the scene. La Salle County Sheriff’s investigators still were completing a report at press time today.
Mitchell Male, 37, of 1326 Washington St., Marseilles was charged with driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and driving without a lighted lamp/motorcycle at 7:39 p.m. Monday at Route 23 and U.S. 6, Ottawa, La Salle County Sheriff’s Office said.
A 16-year-old Hennepin resident was charged with no valid driver’s license, with additional charges recommended to the state’s attorney, at 12:30 a.m. June 15, according to Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. The 16-year-old was released into the custody of his grandfather.
A vehicle driven by Kyle W. Krowlek of McNabb struck a deer at 2:40 a.m. June 19 on the McNabb Blacktop in Hennepin Township, Putnam County deputies said.
SYCAMORE — Jessie L. Cowan, 23, of 311 Forest View Drive, Genoa was charged with failure to reduce speed when the 2012 Volkswagen Jetta he was driving rear-ended a 2019 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Rebecca J. Jensen, 38, of 2964 E. 15th Road, Ottawa at 4:44 p.m. Saturday in the area of Plank Road and Devine Way near Sycamore, according to the DeKalb County sheriff’s office.
Following a traffic crash, Amanda Akin, 32, of 809 Commercial St., Marseilles was charged with driving under the influence and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 3:55 a.m. Sunday at North 41st and East 27th roads east of Sheridan in Mission Township, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office. She was treated on the scene and released by Newark emergency medical technicians.
MENDOTA — Sherrie A. Richardson, 21, of 1411 W. Fourth St., Dixon was charged with driving while license suspended at 5:30 a.m. Sunday following a traffic stop at 13th Avenue and U.S. 52, according to Mendota police.
Mark A. Wargo, 63, no address available, was charged with criminal trespass to land at 620 E. Main St., according to Streator police.
MENDOTA — Dylan Washkowiak, 19, of 1415 E. Main St., Mendota was picked up on a La Salle County failure-to-appear warrant at 12:20 p.m. Sunday, according to Mendota police.
