Letter: Dr. Michael Rein will make excellent McHenry County coroner

To the Editor:

Dr. Michael Rein has the medical qualifications, runs a successful chiropractic practice, and as a former McHenry County Board member knows how government works. For these reasons, I support his candidacy for McHenry County Coroner.

More importantly, as one of his patients, I would visit him for treatment and often would discuss politics. At times we disagreed, but were able to listen, challenge, and question each other without devolving into name calling or worse.

County Board member Mike Skala recently wrote an article in the Northwest Herald about the scourge of divisive politics, which has paralyzed much-needed progress. I’m confident that Dr. Rein will be able to bring his much needed professionalism, expertise, and positive nature to the office of the coroner.
