Yumz Gourment Frozen Yogurt locations in Crystal Lake, Lake in the Hills close

Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt locations in Crystal Lake and Lake in the Hills are permanently closed.

At both establishments, a sign on the door said “Business Closed.” The Yelp page for the Yumz in Crystal Lake states that people reported the place had closed.

The Elgin-based company opened its first store in November 2010 along Route 14 in Crystal Lake.

The frozen yogurt shop in Lake in the Hills, on Randall Road, opened in July 2011.

Laura Pekovic, an administrative specialist at Lake in the Hills’ Village Hall, said the Lake in the Hills location renewed its business registration in May, but she was unable to provide more information.

A voicemail and email message sent to the Yumz company for comment went unanswered.
