OHIO – Ruth A. Forristall, 93, of Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018.
Ruth was born May 24, 1925, to Edward and Gertrude (Marschang) Vock of Polo. She married Lyle Forristall of Ohio on Nov. 26, 1947.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; three sisters and a brother, Catherine Hodge, Bernadine Blum, Francis Vock and Eileen Wright.
She is survived by three sons, Edward (partner, Frank Demma) Forristall, Harry (Mary Jane) Forristall, and Steve “Sam” Forristall; six grandchildren, Joel (Melissa) Forristall, Amy (Gary) Smith, Adam (Amy) Forristall, Matt (Courtney) Forristall, Brandon (Christi) Forristall and Carissa (fiancé, Mitchell Welsh) Forristall; and six great-grandchildren; as well as two sisters, Dorothy Clothier and Loretta Carroll.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and OCCW.
A gathering of friends and family will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ohio, with the Rev. Thomas Shaw officiating. Burial will conclude at St. Mary Cemetery in Ohio. Arrangements by Garland Funeral Home, Walnut.
