Logan Jr. High students compete in Botball competition

PRINCETON — Logan Junior High School’s STEM Club, BEASTBOTZ, competed April 14 at SIUE in Edwardsville for its first-ever Botball competition.

The team worked diligently for approximately six weeks planning, programming, designing and constructing two robots for competition. Logan’s robots competed against 15 other teams, including junior high and high school teams. The BEASTBOTZ received the prestigious Judge’s Choice Award. The team’s sponsor were Allegion and HCC Inc.

Team members attending the competition were Ethan Hassler, Kailey Patterson, Ashton Davis, Sadie Thornton, Gen Tirao, Keegan Fogarty, Trent Goodale, Jarrett Carr, Connor Hickey, Reid Orwig, Brady Piacenti, Mack Williams, Nolan Mallery, Brennon Mills, Evan May, Danny Cihocki, Robert Nelson, Augie Christiansen and Alexia Bouslog. The team is coached by Andrew Strickler and Julie Smith.
