IVCC plans Agriculture Spring Open House

OGLESBY — Illinois Valley Community College will host its second Agriculture Spring Open House for all prospective students and parents from 7:45 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 2.

Guests will interact with current IVCC students and faculty, hear an overview on the revitalized program, tour campus and participate in an activity in the ag lab. Enrollment, financial aid and scholarship information will also be provided.

In less than two years, the program led by instructor Willard Mott has grown to over 30 students taking at least one ag course. Four classes were offered this spring and 10 will be offered in fall.

Students are asked to preregister online by Monday, Feb. 26, at ivcc.edu/agriculture or by contacting Mott at 815-224-0413 or willard_mott@ivcc.edu.
