KEWANEE — Peoples National Bank of Kewanee announces the appointment of Randy Carton and Robert Eastman to its board of directors.
“Each of these two outstanding individuals possesses unique and valuable skills that will benefit the bank,” PNB President Chip Eastman stated.
Carton joined Peoples National Bank of Kewanee in 2007 as vice president and cashier. Carton has been active in the local Kewanee community, previously serving as a council member for Zion Lutheran Church, as well as currently serving on the boards of directors for ABCD and Abilities Plus as treasurer. He is also a member of Kiwanis, teaches Junior Achievement, and spends his summers as a volunteer youth softball coach.
Carton grew up in rural Atkinson and graduated from Geneseo High School. He attended Bradley University and earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting. After college, he became a CPA while working at Clifton Gunderson LLC. Even though he enjoyed working with his banking clients in that role, he eventually left public accounting and was selected to become the chief financial officer at Pekin Savings Bank, working there and with its successor, Morton Community Bank, until joining PNB.
Carton, his wife Karyn, and their two daughters live in rural Kewanee.
Eastman graduated from Wethersfield High School and Dartmouth College with honors, double majoring in computer science and philosophy. He currently works as a consultant to the IT Department at Dartmouth College where he also attends graduate school, after previously working in the medical software field.
Robert represents the fourth generation of his family to serve on the PNB Board of Directors.
