Angella Alvarado of Granville and Joseph Greenwood of Granville were united in marriage Aug. 29 at the United Church of Christ in Granville by Pastor Ron McNeill. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Isaac Alvarado, cousin of the bride, was the scripture reader.
The bride’s mother and stepfather are Vicki and Joe Baima of Oglesby and her father is Ed Alvarado of LaSalle. The groom’s parents are Dan and Shauna Greenwood of Granville.
The bride wore an ivory lace open back gown with special beading. She carried a bouquet of orange calla lilies.
Amie Alvarado, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor, and Abby Pantenburg, best friend of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jayme Salazar, Katy Gapinski, Elisa Davis, Kendra Gapinski and Lora Calbow, all friends of the bride. Journey Alvarado, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.
Brett Calbow, cousin of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Nate Bird, Pep Zulbeari, Butch Gapinski, Nick Heuser, Matt Holst and Brandon Bottomley, all friends of the groom. Ushers were Jeremy Urnikus and Brandon Kays, friends of the groom.
A reception for the couple was held at Deer Park Country Club in Oglesby. Music was provided by DJ Hit Squad.
After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, the couple is making their home in Granville.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School, a 2007 graduate of the University of St. Francis and a 2013 graduate of Olivet Nazarene University. She is a nurse practitioner for St. Margaret’s Health office in Granville.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Putnam County High School. He is employed by Cargill Corporation in Spring Valley.
