SPRING VALLEY — The Bezely family reunion was held Sept. 6 at the Lion’s Shelter at Kirby Park in Spring Valley.
There were 64 in attendance this year. The temperature was in the 80s and the group gathered under the tree for shade. They played the usual games of washers and the traditional egg toss. Joe Wozniak and Chloe Wozniak won the egg toss this year. Joe has had the trophy for two consecutive years.
Everyone enjoyed chicken from Rip’s in Ladd, which was picked up by Rhonda Bezely. Mary Jane Troglio supplied the eggs and coloring books for the little ones. Dan Troglio will be compiling a cookbook with all the favorite recipes from the family reunion. The oldest family member in attendance was Bob Bezely at 85 years old. The youngest family member is James Meyer at 1 year and 4 days old.
Officers were Rick Struglinski, president; Ricky Struglinski, vice president, Natasha Bezely, secretary; and Troy Aimone, treasurer. The chaplain, Sharon Hayes, gave the opening and closing prayer. Kelly Bezely secured the shelter and will do so again next year.
