Luanne Kalas, 72, Polo, and a snowbird of San Benito, Texas, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2015.
She was a loving wife, mother, and a volunteer to the highest extent.
Luanne was born in Waukegan. She was the first born child to John and Lucille (Sherman) Kutz.
She married Ron Kalas on July 29, 1961.
She was survived by her husband, Ron Kalas; her children, Pam (Brett) Faber, Julie Wiegand, Bill (Jes) Kalas; her grandchildren, Christopher Faber, Suzanne (Faber) Sarella, Zach Wiegand, Josh Wiegand, Becca Wiegand, William Kalas, Dalton Kalas; and three great-grandchildren, Jayden, Gracie, Luke, and one she was anxiously waiting to be born; her brothers and sisters, Jack (Carolyn) Kutz, Kathleen (Dave) Haenitsch, Ed (Diane) Kutz, Dennis (Carolyn) Kutz, Dan (Carol) Kutz, Jeanette Hubbard, David (Janette) Kutz, and Ginny (Mark) Birrenkott.
She preceded in death by parents, John and Lucille Kutz; son-in-law, Keith Wiegand; and two grandchildren, Cody Kalas and Jordan Kalas.
A Celebration of Life open house will be held on Friday, July 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dad's Bar and Grill/Pinecricker Cafe.
All are encouraged to attend and share their special memories with the family.
A memorial has been established.
