Rain showers failed to stop the fun in Leaf River on Saturday, June 6, 2026, during the village's annual Leaf River Daze. Saturday's events included the FFA Alumni Tractor and Truck Pull and a K9 demonstration by the Ogle County Sheriff's Department.

The Grand Detour Arts Festival committee is accepting applications from artists to exhibit work at the 77th Grand Detour Arts Festival. The show will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at the John Deere Historic Site in Grand Detour.

Timber Lake Playhouse has announced its highly anticipated 2026 season lineup, featuring a diverse slate of musicals and performances running from late May through mid-September.

An Ogle County farm was once again bursting with yellow, green, red, and a bit of blue as several hundred garden tractors converged on May 17, 2025 for the 16th annual AJ’s Garden Jamboree, 1675 S. Columbian Rd., Oregon. The event also included activities for kids.

It was a packed house on Wednesday, April 9 for the Serenity Hospice and Home’s Fourth Annual Art Dash fundraiser, held at River’s Edge Experience, 103 S. First St., Oregon. The unique event provided attendees a fun way to choose local works of art while raising funds for the organization.

Brass from the Past, a tribute to the legends of rock and soul music, got an estimated crowd of 1,200 rockin’ to their tunes on the opening night of the Jamboree Concert Series. The Chicago-based band kicked off the 12th season of free concerts on the Campus in the village’s downtown. The free concerts are held each Friday night throughout the summer with the music starting at 7 p.m.
