Marshall County will be selling Lake Wildwood delinquent properties

LACON – Marshall County, as trustee, will offer a group of 13 Lake Wildwood properties to the public along with nine properties located throughout the county. The county, as trustee will sell these properties at a sealed bid auction sale. All sealed bids must be in the Marshall County Treasurer’s Office located in the Marshall County Courthouse in Lacon no later than the close of business on Aug. 23.

Lake Wildwood buyers are subject to the terms and provisions of a “Declaration of Restrictive Covenants” as recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deed in Marshall County, to the by-laws of the Lake Wildwood Association Inc. and to the rules and regulations. Interested parties are encouraged to obtain a title commitment from a title insurance company as the county does not guaranty title. Properties sold will be subject to the 2014 real estate taxes. Purchasers of these parcels will not have to pay real estate taxes until the summer of 2015.

The required minimum bid is $642 per item. All items will be sold to the highest sealed bidder received on or before Aug. 23. Complete bidder's packets and sale catalogs are now available at the Marshall County Treasurer's office, Lake Wildwood Gate Entrance or online at www.iltaxsale.com.
