SAN DIEGO – Mary Riegler and Brian Smith, both of Corpus Christi, Texas, were married at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego. The Rev. Ed Montoya officiated.
She is the daughter of Richard and Barbara Riegler of Escondido, Calif.
He is the son of Randy and Debbie Smith of Algonquin.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Rebecca Claudat of Escondido. Bridesmaids were Megan Moore of Escondido, Amy Walters of Norfolk, Va., Hannah Riegler of Escondido, Hayley Riegler of Escondido, Anahita Riegler of Perth, Australia, Laura Smith of Fort Worth, Texas, and Chrissy Heithaus of Columbus, Ohio.
Best man was Mark Smith of Algonquin. Groomsmen were Gray Gish of Corpus Christi, Texas, Joe Granata of Norfolk, Va., John Heithaus of Osaka, Japan, John Riegler of Perth, Australia, Michael Riegler of Escondido, Cory Sheeron of San Diego and Glen Woods of San Diego. Ushers were Chris O’Brien of Pensacola, Fla., Kyle Behbehani of Seattle, Tyler Pencek of Pensacola, Fla., Mike Porcheli of Charleston, S.C., Mike Walters of Pensacola, Fla., and Ramsey Lemaich of Norfolk, Va.
The reception took place at The Bay View Restaurant in San Diego.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of San Pascual High School in Escondido and a 2010 graduate of American University in Washington, D.C., with a Bachelor of Science in business administration. She works in human resources at Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington, D.C.
The bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Jacobs High School in Algonquin and a 2010 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics. He is a first lieutenant serving with the U.S. Marine Corps in Corpus Christi, Texas, and is completing flight training to pilot the CV-22 Osprey.
They reside in Corpus Christi.
