Becker and Mullen

WONDER LAKE – Announcement has been made of the engagement of Rachel Becker of Wonder Lake and Sean Mullen of McHenry.

She is the daughter of Ken and Rita Becker of Wonder Lake. He is the son of Ed and Mary Beth Mullen of McHenry.

The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of McHenry West High School, a 2007 graduate of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education and a 2009 graduate of the American College of Education in Chicago. She is a third-grade teacher at Cambridge Lakes Charter School in Pingree Grove.

Her fiancé is a 1999 graduate of McHenry West High School and a 2010 graduate of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in health education. He is a substitute teacher and wrestling coach in Sycamore.

They plan to marry July 7.
