FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Announcement has been made of the engagement of Alicia Pasillas and Mauricio Garcia, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

She is the daughter of Julian Pasillas of Round Lake and Ron and Maureen Kruis of Woodstock.

He is the son of Francisco Garcia and Rosedith Macedo of Woodstock.

The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Woodstock High School and a 2010 graduate of Northern Illinois University. She is a human resources analyst for Southern Wine & Spirits in Miramar, Fla.

Her fiancé is a 2002 graduate of Woodstock High School and a 2008 graduate of the Environmental Technical Institute in Itasca.

They have plans for a May 27 wedding.
