CRYSTAL LAKE – Jerry and Marcia Schwan of Crystal Lake will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with their family.

Marcia Neff and Jerry Schwan were married May 6, 1962, at Madison Avenue Methodist Church in Anderson, Ind. They first lived in Chicago after their marriage.

He was an engineer for Honeywell in Arlington Heights and has been retired since Sept. 1, 1997.

She was a stay-at-home mother.

They enjoy travel and ballroom dancing, are involved in the historic preservation of Crystal Lake, and are members of First Congregational Church and the Chopped Liver Society.

They have two sons, Neil (Donna) Schwan and Wade Schwan.

They also have five grandchildren.
